Medical Director - Leslie O'Connell, MD
We are pleased to introduce our new Medical Director -- Leslie O'Connell, MD. Dr. Leslie (as we like to call her) is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician, and certified in Botox, Juvederm, laser hair removal, Fraxel and IPL laser treatment. She has worked in New Mexico for over 20 years as an Urgent Care doctor and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Leslie is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice, a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, and is the recipient of numerous professional awards. Despite her accolades, Dr. Leslie describes herself as “ not a traditional starched white coat kind of doctor. I am just like you, a single mom with 2 kids, 2 jobs, a messy house and not enough time. I manage all this by hiking with my dogs, yoga and Botox.”
Her expertise and enthusiasm are part of what makes the Eternal Youth Medical Spa a premier provider of healthy and beauty services. Dr Leslie is excited to be a part of our team at Eternal Youth Spa and believes that, "we can have a lot of fun with our beautiful state-of-the-art machines and injectables. Hillary Rath-Butler
Hillary Rath-Butler RN grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She learned at an early age that her fair skin and the strong New Mexico sun did not mix. She learned this the hard way after suffering repeated sunburns, which left her skin blistered. Prevention is the key to healthy looking skin, and Hillary learned early on to take precautions to prevent skin damage, by using sunscreens with high SPF ratings. All of those precautions paid off for Hillary. She still has beautiful looking cancer-free skin with no crow’s feet or wrinkles. After graduating from high school. Hillary attended and graduated from the Hollywood Beauty School. She is a very creative and talented makeup, manicurist and nail artist. She operated her own manicure business for years, before returning to school to become an RN in 1993. Since then she has worked for 16 years at various Albuquerque hospitals providing much needed patient care. She is perfectly suited to provide the necessary expertise and care for the medical spa. Hillary takes pride in making people feel better no matter what they are going through. Hillary joined Eternal Youth Medical Spa as a staff member after being extensively trained by medical experts and works alongside the spa Medical Director, Dr. Leslie O’ Connell.
Michelle Marquez
Michelle Marquez was born and raised in Gallup, NM. She moved to Albuquerque in 2000. She married her high school sweetheart and they have two beautiful girls. Michelle became an aesthetician because of her family. Acne is hereditary in her family and she grew up with severe acne. As she says, “So I know first hand the affects that acne can have on a persons self esteem, especially in their teens. I don’t want my own children going through what I did in high school. To this day, I struggle with my complexion, not only with acne but with scarring due to acne, as well as, large pores, hyper-pigmentation, and fine lines. I never realized the damage the environment can have on your skin especially the sun. I decided that I truly wanted to take care of my skin so I re-turned to school to help my self and others with skin problems. I graduated from Callas Beauty Institute in Rio Rancho as an aesthetician/nail tech. A month later I took my boards and officially was licensed. I have been licensed for two years and have been with Eternal Youth Medical Spa for over a year.” Michelle has continued her education and is now certified in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser hair removal. Her attitude towards skincare? “I believe that education, prevention, and maintenance are key elements toward proper skincare. I also believe that skincare is not a luxury, it is a part of being healthy, and when your skin is healthy you are happy.”
Pamela Rogers
Pamela Rogers is an aesthetician, hair removal specialist, make-up artist, and soon to be massage therapist. She was born in Syracuse, NY, but have lived in New Mexico for thirteen years. She has been an aesthetician for over three years and as well as a spa supervisor and esthetics manager. She is also very excited about her work at Eternal Youth Medical Spa. “I really love the idea of not only helping you to look your best on the outside, but to feel your best on the inside. I have been at Eternal Youth Medical Spa Since December 2009. I can honestly say that I love coming to work! I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. I love my clients and I am excited to meet new clients here at EYMS.”
Dr. Michael Emery
Dr. Emery is a licensed medical anti aging physician who has joined Dr. Leslie O' Connell and our comprehensive team of health and beauty professionals. Dr. Emery came to medicine after an eclectic life. He trained in European cooking schools and worked in Europe and the Middle East as a chef. He was also a land surveyor. He then attended Kansas City college of Heath Sciences and East Tennessee State University to obtain his DO and Family Practice Board Certification. He has worked throughout New Mexico providing primary care medicine. Several years ago, he became fascinated with Anti-Aging medicine and now is one of the few board-certified Anti-Aging Specialists in New Mexico. He brings his unique holistic perspective and scientific acumen to a customized patient centered wellness. We are very happy to have him providing these cutting edge approaches to our clients.
